I can’t believe we’re already 28…
Feels like the more we age, the younger we look, ‘sigh’

These two were my
favorite of the day! I’m so glad I got to finish my film roll on them~
Such a pleasure to
photograph, and seriously, these girls are pro!
The hardest thing I
find from those last 3 weekends I’ve been shooting on the streets of Toronto,
is how most people are in a rush and have little time to spare. But with these
girls, it was the total opposite. And god I looooove their attitude in front of
the camera!
Occupation:
Student ~ Best friends since grade school; Natasha (left) also does some modeling, why am I not even surprised :)

This girl is the proof that you can find really nice stuff in the least expected (i.e. unpopular) places! Next time when my mom tries to convince me to go shopping with her at the Bay or Winners, maybe I’ll think twice :)

It was the bowl cut
and the round sun glasses that really got my attention when I first saw Tia.
But it’s really when
she took off her glasses that I knew she was a model. Isn’t she gorgeous? I
think the pictures speak for themselves~
She’s been in Toronto
for a month, specifically for Toronto Fashion Week, and is originally from
Vancouver.

Model with NEXT (been modeling for 2 yrs now)

This group of artist
(except for one of them) was quite unique in their own way.
A really friendly
bunch~ They were talking so much, and about so many random things that it was
practically impossible for me to follow at all :)
I don’t have names for
any of them, so let me just go in order from left to right!

Was on my way to see the documentary “Jiro dreams of sushi” @TIFF when I came across Melinda. I really loved the simplicity of her style, with that long blue dress and high bun~
Turns out, both my sis
& her bf knew her and started chatting away, so I jumped on the opportunity
to interrupt their conversation and snap a few shots of her… Forget about the
formal introduction, that can come later :p

@ Downtown Camera
This is where I get my film developed!
Tiffany works there, and I've always wanted to take a picture of her but never dared to ask. That was back in the days when I didn't have my blog and thought approaching strangers to ask for their pictures might come off as slightly.... creepy? But now I can, hah!
Kevin's a photographer as well, obviously a customer there.
Occupation: Photographer/writer (Kevin), Seamstress & staff @ Downtown camera (Tiffany)
Favorite item: Dress from the Clothing show

Girl @ the intersection

@ Queen St. West
Up until now, I've always been complaining about how the lights are way too short on University and Queen.
But you know what, it turns out to be the best spot to trap people half way through the crossing.
5 seconds left, 4, 3, 2, 1 .... and there we were, the two of us in the middle of the intersection.
Such a sweet heart! Really liked her yellow/green pairing.

So pleased to have found these two! They totally stood out among the crowd.
Despite the fact that I always promise the people I approach that "it'll only take 5min", I think I must have spent 15min with them, trying to get as many shots as possible.
(My favorite part in these shots --> Andy's reflection in the window ~)

Favorite items: Prada shoes from Harry Rossen (Phillip); Rag & bone jacket from Holt Renfrew (Andy).

@ Queen St. WestI first saw Asia, waiting by herself near the streetcar stop. I was so worried she's hop into a streetcar that I kept turning back and making sure that I'd have enough time to approach her and snap a few shots before the streetcar came. Luckily for me, she was just waiting for a friend. Really talented girl who's made all her jewels (rose earrings a necklace). You can find them on her website http://wildmoonjewelry.com/
You can imagine my excitement when her friend arrived and also turned out to be great photo material!
Occupation: Jewelry designer (Asia), Student (Ify)

@ Ruins ~ Queen St. West
Absolutely loved shooting these two. I can't put my hands on it, but there's just something really unique about them. I gotta say the last shot is one of my favorite.
Occupation: Insurance investigator (Vera), Chemist/tennis blogger/designed clothes from the store Ruins
Favorite items: Pizza wallet (Vera) and by the way, she's the one who decided to put it in the bicycle basket for the shot. Great idea! Tibetan pendant (Wolf) that he got from... not Tibet but Mexico; and his jacket that he designed.
More about the store.
